Cheriton Bishop
Horticultural Society
(We’re not as posh as we
sound!)
We
are a very friendly group of amateur gardeners who meet every month during the Autumn,
Winter and Early Spring with interesting talks, quizzes, demonstrations
etc. During the Spring and Summer we
manage to fit in three shows: the Spring Show in late March/early April; the
Mid Summer Show in June; and the Village Show in August, which is open for
anyone to enter who lives in the local area.
We also arrange visits to interesting gardens.
We
would very much welcome you to join us as a member. For a very modest membership fee you will
receive all the benefits of membership including a generous discount off your
seed order!
For
more details please contact Sally Burton on 01647 24724.

The Village Show is an
annual event organised by the Cheriton Bishop Horticultural Society but open to
anyone who lives within 5 miles of
Cheriton Bishop.
Last year’s summer show
was a very happy event with lots of people joining in for the first time. We particularly welcome new entrants and
although the Show is a competition, everybody who enters is willing to help
those who are not sure where or how to display their entry.
Come and join us on August
20th, whether to enter the classes or simply to enjoy afternoon tea
while seeing what your neighbours have produced!
To be judged by Mr Bert Jewell
N.B. The judges will be
instructed to use metric measurements; imperial sizes are given for guidance
only.
