Rules
1.
Entries to
all classes are open to anyone who lives within five miles of
2.
Exhibits to
be staged between 9.00am and 10.45am, at which time all exhibitors will leave
the hall. Judging will commence at 11.00 am.
3.
Exhibits
should be shown in vases provided in the hall.
4.
Exhibitors
are limited to two entries in each
class.
5.
No exhibits
shall be removed until after the prize giving.
6.
The
committee shall not be responsible for any loss or damage.
7. The judge’s decision is final. Any objection shall be made in writing and lodged with the Show Secretary by 2.45pm, together with a deposit of £1. If the committee judges any objections to be frivolous, the deposit shall be forfeited.
8.
All
exhibits shall have been grown by the exhibitor, and have been their exclusive
property for at least three months, except
classes 35 to 40 (Floral Art & Junior Classes).
9.
No foliage other than that
growing on the stem is allowed except where stated in the schedule.
10. No late entries accepted.
Awarding of Points, Cups and Prize Money
1. Points
will be awarded in each class. 1st - 4pts, 2nd - 2pts, 3rd -
1pt.
2. The person gaining the most points in
SECTION 1, with
class 35, will be awarded the Rose Bowl.
3. The person gaining the most points in
SECTION 2, with class 36, will be awarded the Sweet Pea Cup.
4. The
persons gaining the most points in SECTIONS 1 to 5 will receive:
1st - £5.00, 2nd - £3.00, 3rd - £2.00.
The
persons gaining the most points
in SECTION 6 will receive:
1st - £1.00, 2nd - 75p, 3rd – 50p.

Making
a Floral Buttonhole
A class will be held prior to this show
on how to construct the perfect buttonhole using fresh flowers and
foliage. This will be on the afternoon
of Saturday 11th June . Please watch the parish news letter for
